A New Direction
Ready to Lead
Leadership that listens and communicates, creating opportunity instead of stalled growth.
Safety
We can’t take safety for granted. Residents deserve to feel secure in their homes and throughout the city.
• Work with apartment landlords to install security cameras, lighting, and on-site staff.
• Address curfew enforcement and protect playgrounds for younger children.
• Ensure every concern is taken seriously; no single person can solve everything.
Infrastructure
Our city’s infrastructure problems have been studied for years, but residents deserve real solutions.
• Take action on long-standing basement flooding issues, unresolved since 2014.
• Reconstruct streets; only a few of our 58 have been addressed.
• Push past delays, reports, and empty promises to deliver results.
Economy
City of Mayfield Heights should not be run by department heads. The city needs a mayor who can lead, make decisions and be available more than two days a week.
• Stretch city budgets responsibly, just as residents stretch theirs.
• Protect and expand our tax base with new business.
• Provide active, full-time leadership; not government by department heads alone.
Community
Strong leadership means solving problems and staying connected with residents.
• Partnered with progressive insurance for residents on Dunfield to acquire backyard private vinyl fencing.
• Chaired safety committee and supported police department on renovation of dispatch center.
• Met with ODOT in person to address freeway safety concerns for Hidden Woods residents.
• Created Coffee with Council for open, informal conversations with city leaders.
• Volunteer at city events including car shows, holiday parties, and pancake breakfasts.
Housing
With aging homes and thousands of rental units, we need stronger housing policies.
• Revisit ordinances that eliminated point-of-sale inspections.
• Strengthen rental housing agreements and oversight.
• Hold absentee landlords accountable for neglected properties.
• Ensure apartment owners share responsibility when frequent police calls occur.
Education
Mayfield Heights families choose our city for its schools and we must keep them strong.
• Proud home of 5-Star Mayfield School District.
• Supported the 2024 levy that raised $7M to:
– Improve school safety and security.
– Expand Excel TECC programs.
– Prepare students for future careers and opportunities.
• Strong schools are the foundation of strong neighborhoods.
